So the first thing I learned when I found out I was pregnant was to stop googling things. There is SO much information out there and it is quite overwhelming and a little scary. Plus, as soon as you google one weird thing about being pregnant (there are so many weird things) then your Facebook, Instagram and all other ads start showing baby/pregnancy related issues and you get completely sucked in.

Since I have learned  this and my midwives and husband constantly tell me to stop googling, I have tried to stick to books and reputable websites. These are the sources I turned to to learn what I should eat during pregnancy.

Spoiler alert- they do not recommend a diet full of sugar and carbs. They do, however recommend small frequent meals and snacks to keep blood sugar up and minimize nausea. Eating more often is something I can certainly get behind.

My Favorite Snacks

Fruit and Cottage Cheese

Toast with Chia Seed Jam

Yogurt with Homemade Granola

Trail Mix

Hummus and Carrots

Mini bagel with Avocado and Tomato and Trader Joe’s Everything Bagel Seasoning

Apples and Peanut butter

Sweet potato with Greek yogurt

Tuna and Crackers

Homemade Popsicles

Almond butter and fruit tortilla

Rice cake with almond butter or yogurt and fruit topping
